I am also in-network with several insurance plans through an independent provider association called Alma. If you have Aetna, Optum/United, or Cigna, you can see me at in-network rates. If you're not sure what that is, I am happy to send you a link to upload your insurance information into Alma for benefits verification. In about 3 days, Alma will provide an estimated out-of-pocket cost per session.
Full-fee clients subsidize low-fee therapy ($50/session) for folx experiencing financial hardship. When available, my low-fee therapy slots can be accessed through my profile on Open Path Collective.
My full fee is $150 for a 55-minute session. This fee includes an additional hour outside of session for treatment planning, resource development, professional consultation, and other administrative tasks.
Online therapy is a popular alternative to meeting in the office. There's no commute, parking hassles, or travel time to factor into your schedule. Clients are less restricted geographically in their search for the right fit, and health and safety issues are minimized. Video sessions make it possible to join from a comfortable and familiar location where it may be easier to open up—or to get emotional support from a pet.
To optimize your telehealth experience, join via a strong WiFi signal or wired internet connection. Streaming video and enhanced encryption for privacy require high bandwidth for audio and video quality. Headphones will increase privacy.
Come as you are, trusting that right here & now is the perfect place to begin.
Please verify Alma’s estimate when you receive your first explanation of benefits (EOB) from your insurance company; on rare occasions, errors have been identified several months later, with expensive results. By using health insurance, you consent to having a behavioral health diagnosis reported to your insurance company to establish medical necessity for services.
Finally, I can provide financial statements and/or a diagnosis code to access "out of network" benefits from other insurance companies. Out of network benefits are partial reimbursement for the fees you pay out of pocket for therapy. You can find out whether you qualify for out of network benefits by calling the phone number on the back of your insurance card.
