About

I am a certified Gestalt therapist trained in the “Mariah Method” of the Pennsylvania Gestalt Center and a Licensed Be Body Positive Facilitator trained by The Body Positive Institute. Additional post-graduate training has focused on acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), structural family therapy, and attachment theory. I earned my master’s degree from Bryn Mawr Graduate School of Social Work & Social Research in 2009 and am a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) in Pennsylvania and Delaware.

Beyond the role of therapist, I’m an imperfect human on my own journey. I’m an artist, a dreamer, an appreciator of diverse manifestations of beauty, a seeker of existential truths, and a wanderer in heart, mind, and feet. I am a white-identified person who uses she & they pronouns. Being raised / socialized female informs my experience & understanding of gender. My style is informal, rooted in courage and compassion, and glittered with humor.

I live in East Falls with a cat named Loaf.

Before going into private practice, I worked with youth and families involved in the child welfare, supportive housing, and juvenile justice systems in Philadelphia. This work brought me into contact with folx experiencing complex, intersecting traumas while revealing an oppressive approach to "care" in under-resourced communities. These experiences taught me to prioritize flexibility, self-determination, and unconditional self-worth as cornerstones of the therapeutic relationship.

Hi! Thanks for stopping by my page. My name is Leslie and I’m passionate about helping folx heal from trauma, reconnect to the wisdom of their bodies, and build more authentic & fulfilling relationships.
